The idea for O.T.H.E.R. came to life in 2009 while we were still on active duty in the U.S. Navy. Back then, we didn’t see a brand that really spoke to the everyday life, grit, and pride of service members. So we started building one. What began as a vision to create something real for our own community grew into a mission to offer gear that reflects the strength and loyalty we saw around us every day in uniform.

With over 50 combined years in the Navy, we’ve shared ships, stories, and hard-earned lessons. This brand was built from that bond. We didn’t just want to slap a flag on a shirt. We wanted something that spoke to who we are and why it matters. Every design carries a bit of our experience, made for people who live with purpose and lead with heart. This is more than a job for us. It’s something we lived before we ever stitched a label.

Operation Give Free is the heart of what we do. It’s our way of giving back to the people still out there doing the work. Every month, we build and ship care packages to deployed service members across all six branches. These are handpicked, personalized boxes sent with respect and real support, not as a one-time stunt but as a core part of our business. This isn’t a side project for us. It’s baked into every shirt we sell and every order that comes through.

We created a simple referral system that helps us reach those who could use a boost while they’re serving away from home. If someone knows a deployed service member or someone about to ship out, they can let us know and we’ll take it from there. We’ve been the ones waiting on mail, counting down the days, and we know how much something small can lift your whole day. That’s why we do this. Every box we send out carries more than gear. It carries the reminder that someone sees them and still has their back.
